This is the post that just cannot seem to get written! It’s for a good cause, however. I am successfully, so far, participating in NaNoWriMo for the third year, writing fiction, on target with word counts, and HEY. We may get a novel out of me, yet! *knock on wood, and spitting FTOU! like my Greek friend taught me to do when writing things that tempt the fates to toy with the hubris of humanity*

November NaNoWriMo Challenge

Fountain at Place de la Concorde

A photo I took on Monday, 26 October 2009 at the Place de la Concorde in Paris

Okay, so I got an idea.

I have been trying to think of a way to post more regularly to this blog, to try to force myself into writing for it more often, and post things of interest for readers.

I also have been trying to think of a way to participate this year in NaNoWriMo.

Here is my profile for NaNoWriMo, by the way. Karin’s NaNoWriMo Page

I divide my time between trying to blog about my life as it operates in Paris with the hopes of providing information for people about living gluten-free in Paris, and also as a way for me to have motivation to exit my apartment doors and actually live a life here in Paris. If I set a goal to go out, take photos and then write about my experiences for this blog, I have something to do, something that gives me purpose in not simply sitting in front of the computer day-to-day.

This blog was born because of my desire to write about what it is like for me to live in Paris, and if people gain something from the information I glean, fantastic.
